To answer the question "how to fly underwater?", the two creators of DeepFoil, Emilia Perdigon and Paul François, from the startup Nereïs Ocean, imagined a hydrodynamically profiled wing to hold in one's hands. The first prototype, similar to an airplane wing capable of compensating for the buoyancy of the human body without ballast or propulsion, will be released at the end of summer 2024. Simply by kicking one's feet, preferably with fins, one dives deeper and turns like a fish using this wing, which is oriented by changing the position of one's hands.
