• NEREÏS OCEAN

The idea was born in the spring of 2023, by a mountain lake. That's where the idea of flying underwater was born, dreaming of exploring the submerged streets of a village engulfed by the lake.

Thanks to their complementary skills, the two founders designed a submarine that would use wings (or foils) to dive and fly underwater through its speed.

This is how the Hydronef was born, a two-seater submarine with wings, capable of floating motionless and diving with speed. The two inventors then decided to simplify the concept to the extreme, keeping only its essence. They removed the hull, the engine, and the propeller, to keep only a wing – a foil – to hold in the hands, capable of compensating for the buoyancy of the human body without ballast or propulsion.

At the end of summer 2024, the first prototype saw the light of day. The first testers were unanimous: the sensation of flight was truly there.

This is how DeepFoil was born, and with it Nereis Ocean.
